My Chaotic Realm

Well, we found a new place... a 3 bedroom, 2 bath 1200+ square foot trailer sitting on just over 6 acres out in the country. Sits between Uhland & Maxwell, altho the ZIP is still Kyle. Nice little driveway as the home is set a ways off the road, and driveway is lined with white picket fence & lights. The front deck has room for plants, chairs, etc and will catch the rising sun. Sits almost oriented East/West. Morning sun comes up on what will be the art space/study and the sun will set over the master bedroom. The master bedroom/bathroom is at one end, complete with spa tub & seperate shower enclosure. The kitchen/dining nook and the living room seperate the other 2 bedrooms from the master bedroom. The center room will be the guest room, when we HAVE a guest. Spirit has a nice antique bedroom set in storage, so we'll set that up. Well, Agathos has had his mouse July 10th before arriving home, and weighed in at 1.8 ounces and 18 inches long. His next meal will be Saturday, after which we will weigh and measure again. :-) Tonight is the Central Texas Pagan Meetup dinner @ Cedars Cafe in San Marcos... Agathos will be our guest at dinner, altho don't expect much in the way of conversation. Well, Agathos has arrived home!! Spirit picked him up yesterday whilst I was home ill. We named him after the Egyptian protector God of Alexandria, whose sanctuary was apparently founded by Alexander himself. The oldest evidence for his cult is a passage from the Potters' Oracle (130 BC) where Agathos Daimon is identified with the primeval snake Kneph. For the rest, the cult was confined to Alexandria and is only known from the Roman Period. The worship of the Agathos Daimon as a protective house snake appears to have a Greek origin. Further, he mainly appears in Greek literature, known as Agathodemon. Agathos in Greek meant "Good" and Daimon meant "Divinity", and this creature was much like a guardian angel. Regarded as the "Good Divinity", Agathos Daimon was the guardian of the household or personal home, and in other accounts this creature guarded a person, hovering around them invisibly.

"headache two, family one" Well, sinus headache appeared early Sunday and a migraine snuck in underneath it, but we still mamanged to do things we had planned, so I count the weekend as a success. The evening got a bit dicey near the end, actually really ugly, but oh well. Poor Spirit, not sure she got ANY sleep, really, looking after me. Sigh.
